Today I received a package in the mail. It was a box of Fonseca 5-50 cigars. This is the same brand and size that a friend recently offered me during a recent outing. I Actually enjoyed it, so to help bring me into the fold he sent me a whole box of the suckers!

They are mild, but good. I looked it up online and they go for about $90/box of 24 so this was a pretty generous gift! I think I will try to keep up here with all the different cigars that I end up trying, along with my thoughts and reflections on each. I’m a newbie, so at this point phrases like “subtle hints of coffee overtones with a muse of chocolate overall” are just fiction - my first impression is it tastes kind of smokey ;-) But I will try to learn.
